Our First Math Plus kit is a clear backpack that contains:

ONE SET OF DOMINOES

which provide a tactile, concrete, yet flexible tool to demonstrate basic math concepts.

Because dominoes are a fun multi-generational game most students have seen, these tiles

can be easily used as a math tool.  This familiarity reduces the child’s “effective filter” and

allows them to take in knowledge rapidly

FOUR "DOMINAIDE" TILE HOLDERS which are means to:

Ø       Give students the opportunity to practice linear tracking and left to right eye-movement for reading readiness;

Ø       Show students how to visualize a group of things, separate, but chosen from a whole for both math and word recognition skills; and

Ø       Evaluate a pre-literate student’s needs and progress within a group setting – saving the teacher time by eliminating the necessity of testing students one-on-one.

ONE LESSON PLAN BOOK which provides 32 easy to follow 15 minute lessons, grouped into 8 chapters.  Lessons are written in plain English so teachers, classroom aides, or parent volunteers can easily present the concepts.  Lessons can be expanded upon based on student readiness with the additional "Expanding for Math Trailblazers” support provided at the end of each chapter.
